Symptoms of ocular allergies are various:

  • Symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis are itching, foreign body sensation - like sand in the eye – and swollen eyelids. The eye can also turn red. It is frequent to observe extra-ocular signs like rhinitis or respiratory signs.
  • Symptoms of perennial conjunctivitis are often less severe but last all year-round.
  • The infection of the cornea is characterized by tearing, an ocular - sometimes important – pain and an abnormal intolerance of the light (photophobia).

The causes of ocular allergies are various. Also, it exists different ways to treat these allergies.
